2.1 The Available Formats
The resources and formats listed below can be used to create content.
For formats that support the following media conversion, the file format is automatically converted when registering the resource.
However, the operation is not necessarily guaranteed as the process for formats that support media conversion may fail depending on the encoder or its setting.

*Image, movie, and audio resource files need to be in a format with the extensions listed above that can be played or displayed on the device.
*The conversion processing of the videos (Encoding) is automatically executed when the codecs of a video and an audio or any other setting value are different even if an extension is the same.
*PDF files and movie files have the recommended formats. For the details, please see chapter 2.2 Guidelines for Creation of PDF Files and 2.3 Guidelines for Creation of Video Resources.
2.2 Guidelines for Creation of PDF Files
Please create PDF resource files along with the guidelines below to register on the content management system and to deliver to the application.
If PDF does not follow the guidelines, the error during the registration, the failure of downloading on application and the matter of not displaying properly may have occurred.
● Recommended Standard of PDF
The following formats are recommended for PDF resources on SMART CATALOG.

*Notes for using the other creation tools than Acrobat Pro
・Please check the PDF output settings when using the tools made by Adobe System (Illustrator, InDesign etc.). Please refer to the detail conditions of PDF below for the output settings.
・We recommend submitting the original files (pptx, xlsx, docs) when using the tools made by Microsoft (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). (It automatically converted to PDF with the media conversion feature.)
・PDF created with the tool made by Antenna House can not be submitted to this system.
・For the other tools made by third party, they have possibilities of not displaying properly or not finding a part of the font.
● Unable to Submit PDF
PDF with the following conditions cannot be submitted to the Content Management System.
(An error will be occurred during the registration.)
・PDF larger than 1GB
・Encrypted PDF (PDF that are set the password, not allowed to extract a page or copy the content in the security settings.)
・PDF created with the tool made by Antenna House
・Color model of PDF is not RGB (CMYK etc.)
・PDF with an image of JPEG2000 format
・PDF with an embedded image of Ver4 of IIC (International Color Consortium) profile
・PDF with an embedded videos or 3D
● Notes for creating PDF
We recommend PDF/A-1b standard for the registration on Content Management System.
However, even when PDF is not created with PDF/A-1b standard, the following conditions
below can reduce the probability of error occurrences such as an error during the
registration, download failure of the application or not displaying properly.
Guidelines for Images in PDF

● Conversion to PDF/A-1b
Checking whether the PDF uses PDF/A-1b standard and the conversion to PDF/A-1b standard are available by using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Please refer to the user guide by Adobe System for the method of conversion.
2.3 Guidelines for Creation of Video Resources
Please see the notes below for the video resources to register on the Content Management System and to deliver to the application.
Video that does not follow the guidelines may not be played on the application properly.

| Display failure | A link in PDF does not work on the application. | This problem occurs because the header information of the PDF is not saved correctly. Create a PDF with using a PDF conversion tool such as Acrobat, instead of overwriting the file and save it under a different name. |
| Display failure | Part of an image in the PDF is not displayed on the application or an image is not displayed in its original colors. | This problem occurs on PDF created with the color representation (CMYK) mainly used for printing. Create a PDF with the RGB color setting. Or, specify "Optimized PDF" or "Mobile" on Acrobat and save the file under a different name. |
