3.1 Downloading Content
Download content and save it in My Library. Once you download a content, you can view it even when your iPad/iPhone is offline.
1. On [New contents], select the [Download] button for the content you want to download.
2. When it starts downloading, the thumbnail of the content disappears from [New Content], and moves to [My Library] screen.
3. While downloading, it shows "Pause" 
button. If you want to pause downloading, tap this button while it appears.
4. If the downloading is paused, it shows "Resume" 
button. To resume downloading, tap this button.
5. As downloading proceeds, it shows "Initializing" 
button. And if it turns to "Read" 
button, then downloading is completed.
Hints
- When you tap a thumbnail, the [Content Detail] screen is displayed. You can also download content by tapping [Download] button on the screen.
- You can select multiple contents to download continuously. Contents are automatically downloaded in the order of being selected. There is no upper limit for the number of contents selected.
- There is no upper limit for the number of downloading contents. If available space on a device becomes less than 800MB, you will not be able to download any other contents to the device. Please use Smart Catalog after deleting unnecessary contents from Smart Catalog or other applications and reserve enough space in your device.
- If there are some differences between content's information in the application and on the server , you cannot download the content onto the device. In that case, tap "update" button which locates in top-right on the screen and try to redownload it after communicating with a server.
- "New" badge will be no longer available when;
i. It is deleted after downloading it to My Library
ii. Tap a content and confirm a detail screen
Memo
You can change the download settings. Select the "Settings" button in the operation menu on "My Library". Select the "Download Settings" button and modify each item as you like.
- When you turn "ON" for "Download Speed (Mbps)", the speed of downloading will be displayed while downloading a content.
- In the "initialization process" that downloads the content and makes it viewable, you can change the number of pages to be converted in the image in the range of 1 to 200 in one process. You can shorten the initialization process time by increasing the value. If the initialization process fails, reduce the value.
3.2 Using Menus
[New contents] and [My Library] menus are listed below.

Tab list | A list of saved tabs is displayed. You can move the tab set to the viewer and add/edit it. Select [Settings] and [Viewer Settings] and set [Active Tab] to ON to display it. |

Update | Manually update to the latest status. Furthermore, if it has been more than an hour since the last transmission when you open the application, it will automatically update to the latest status. It will also automatically update every other hour afterwards. |

3.3 Opening a Content
View contents saved in [My Library].
1. On the [My Library] list, select the [Read] button of the content you want to view.
The selected content is displayed.
Memo
- If a warning is set for content, a warning message is displayed when you attempt to open the content.
- If password is set for content, a login password needs to be entered when you attempt to open the content.
- Tap a thumbnail image of contents to open the [Contents Detail Display] screen. You can configure a setting to directly open the viewer by tapping a thumbnail image by setting [Contents Detail Display] in [Viewer Settings] to OFF.
- When the available period of downloaded content expires or when the content is made unavailable, the corresponding content is automatically deleted from the device. Contents may not be deleted due to specific environment settings.
Hint
If you cannot open a content, the content might have been not downloaded properly and broken. If so, please delete the content from My Library and redownload it.
Displaying or downloading contents directly from an external application
Using a URI link of content sent from, for example the creator of the content, the corresponding content can be directly displayed or downloaded even when the SMART CATALOG application is not running.
1. Select the URL link of the content.
Below is an example of the URI for a specific content displayed on an email application.
Selecting an URI link of content, then it automatically starts the SMART CATALOG application. When the content has already been downloaded, the content is automatically displayed.
When the content has not been downloaded, a confirmation for download is displayed
When the content is not in the "open" status, the message "No relevant content." is displayed. In this case, the content cannot be displayed or downloaded.
3.4 Closing Content
1. Touch anywhere on the viewer screen where the content is displayed.
The operation menu is displayed.
2. Select the 
(Home) button.
[My Library] is displayed again.
3.5 Deleting Content
Delete contents saved in [My Library].
1. On the [My Library] list, touch and hold (2 to 3 seconds) the content you want to delete
2. The confirmation message appears, and select “OK”.
Then the content is deleted. The deleted content thumbnail goes back to [NEW CONTENT] screen. Since the content has been viewed before, so NEW badge is no longer available for the content.
You can also delete multiple contents at a time by using the “content batch delete” function in the [Edit] button.
